There is almost NO police presence on the roads. Until that changes - nothing will change here. In my area , the police drive 10-15 year old decrepit Isuzu utes, so they cannot apprehend wrong doers anyway! The only ‘law enforcement’ I have seen, has been from speed or red-light cameras. (-and it appears that many people ignore these too)

last month I sent a small package from Kanchanaburi to Germany. it was tracked all the way, taking 2 days to get to Suvarnabhumi Airport - then no data for 9 days, until it arrived in Germany, followed by detailed tracking until it was delivered 2 days later. I assumed it had a short Euro holiday stopover - lol

Unless you follow Chinese (and Thai) social media, it is very unlikely to have known about it! They couldn't give a hoot about your response - it is the millions of Chinese reading his posts on social media that concern Immigration .

The cattle in Thailand are Bos indicus species - ie Brahman type cattle. These breeds are better adapted to hot tropical conditions. The good cattle (I am very biased here - like hereford and angus) are Bos taurus species. They are suited to more temperate climates and cannot cope with tropical conditions. Dairy cattle require great nutrition to produce milk - so are found in areas of more guaranteed food supply - eg Chiang Mai or Prachuap Kiri Khan.

I live in rural Kanchanaburi. Driving into the city on Wednesday this week, I was amazed to see that at least 3/4 of riders WERE WEARING helmets. Maybe the message is getting through? Most of the riders not wearing lids were school kids (who don't have a licence ....(and probably no insurance either) ). Out in the sticks, where I am, nothing changes.

darker coloured tiles/pool lining will also make the pool water hotter - making the pool a less pleasant place to be!

It was 20 years ago when I went.... Air France had regular flights from Paris Orly airport to Cayenne. There were flights from Cayenne to Surinam & Georgetown in (British) Guyana.

I'm sorry. Some kids are <deleted> and need a bit of a touch up. I know - I have a rotten step-son that would have benefitted from this. It might have stopped his first or second trip to the big house....
