  1. If you are in the Pattaya area, there are/use to be garages along the railway line road (on the darkside) that will probably know. I had a driver friend who bought up old Mercs and did them up in the Patts area so people who can fix them are around. What about ask at Collinborn Auctions (if they are still in Patts.)
  2. Hi. I have a 2013 2WD Honda CRV which we've enjoyed for a few years. Only thing wrong is that it's a little underpowered. My fault as I couldn't see the value (then) of buying the AWD CRV just to get a bigger engine and leather seats +. So this time I wanted to buy the AWD 2025 Honda CRV, but then I compared it with the BYD Sealion 7 and price drop for the Bangkok Motor Show, the Sealion 7 seemed the right buy. The internal space is about the same as the Honda CRV. We've had it for about 5 months and love it. Very easy to drive and long trips are easy and not as tiring as before. What I notice more now is the black smoke coming from a these badly tuned diesels and the stained roads from black smoke. Apart from the Sealion7 being a great car to drive, wifey and I are happy not to be causing any of that horrible black pollution. There is 'range anxiousness', probably because it's a new driving experience. Not that difficult to plan your charging stops, but long weekends in the Pattaya area was a problem finding working and vehicle free chargers.
  3. I haven't had a hip operation, but had a difficult Total Knee Replacement (TKR) which was evidently too tight. Had the same knee operated on again where they removed and shaved 2mm of the patellar button. So 6 years later, really not too bad. Dr said 20% of people who have TNR are not happy. He didn't say dr stuffed up, just 20% aren't happy. I saw him again this year and he said the more ops you have, the more chance of infection and he would only operate again if I couldn't walk anymore. So you can have another hip operation, but you would definitely want to know WHY and success rate. I don't know your pain level etc, but a knee can take a couple of years.
  4. Didn't know it was on Wed at 5pm.
  5. Hisssss. Booooooo 🙂
  6. I'd head for Nanna.
  7. 7 to 8 years on and used the red bricks as cavity walls. Render only cracked in some places and think it probably was bad application. Back then there were few blockes around. If I built again now I would use the light-weight blocks as the cavity wall.
  8. I have the AWD version and love it. Such an easy car to drive. The reason I went for the AWD version was mainly for Wifey. The car we had before was a 2WD Honda SUV, very nice but under powered. A couple of time wifey has been stuck overtaking and not enough power to accelerate out of trouble, bit dangerous, but with the Sealion 7 (we drive in Echo mode) just put your foot down and you can safely get out of trouble.
  9. You looking to get 'fixed up' in another motorcycle crash?
  10. Getting hissed with the train guards, all good fun.
  11. We lived in Bali for 6 years and ate seafood often. The cry then (probably now), don't eat the fish as high Hg content. Got tested for Hg when we left and all normal.
  12. All arrived yesterday. Used Shopee and the Nano shop link for most.
  13. Have a talk to Kera tiles mob. Nice selection of tiles etc. 20250530_104035.mp4
  14. Who says we're grumpy!!! Wake up. !@@!@
  15. Get rid of all those boys acting like girls plus the jet ski rip-off people and the world would be a better place.
  16. It's 'Amazing Thailand' coffee so cost a wee bit more. Glad the shop wasn't ripping off people.
  17. Maybe B20000 for installation. If we go by BritManToo hardware costing then B140000, but I haven't done it.
  18. Looks good, unfortunately I ordered my stuff earlier but will keep this site in mind for the future. Thanks 🙂
  19. No, correct but I'll go and have a look at these stores while in Roiet. What I really want is to try and find somewhere to buy everything at the same place.
  20. Smaller Mum & Pop electrical/pump stores may have some. One near us has different lengths of off-cuts.
  21. I have it on good authority he's not an Aussie. Nice pants but.
  22. Thank you @motdaeng for the ground work. 🙂 I bought the bug screens for the Sealion 7 that just clip in. Decently made and fit well. Nice. Probably take them off when I go to BYD for service as they may say they void warranties.
  23. What do you call those connectors and what do you use them for? Never seen/used them before.
