  1. As with cannabis shops. A lot of folks thought they got a break, finally. One weed purveyor told me they rented a townhouse in Samut Prakan to grow ganja! And now they want 'regulation'. Regulation means Mr Big isn't getting his envelope!
  2. Okay, but are you in the tiny minority. You'll never know until that smugness bites back.
  3. Better than locked-down in shopping malls! Have you seen the new Dior palace. Dior even willingly admits everything is faux!
  4. Jersey guy here, I know my pizza. Want a meatball, eat a meatball. Want a salad, eat a salad. But leave the toppings off so you can taste the quality. Pizza dough cold-fermented for 72 hours, homemade gravy, good cheese is all it takes. Pala is great for Roman-style pizza. Their marinara pizza, no cheese, is like a Trenton or New Haven tomato pie. Owners are vegan so lots of vegan options and deli offerings. For New York style thin crust, pick Chef Bing. Bing grew up in Brooklyn. Ruam Rudee Soi 2. Ploenchit BTS. No sides like mussels in tomato sauce or broccoli rabe but the pizza is outstanding. Both make their own gravy and use high -quality, low fat cheese. I don’t think there are any Sicilian pizzas in Bangkok. I prefer them not as thick as one ince. My favourite place, in Belleville, was filled with characters right out of The Sopranos! Thank the gods we don’t see any deep-dish Chicago “pizza”. Loaf of bread with tomato sauce on it. Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Pizza Company? Processed frozen dough, lowest quality cheese and Heinz ketchup—yuck! Pizza Company is only popular in your live in the sticks or if you’re Thai & put ketchup on it. There are really no other ace pizzas in the capital. Am I a pizza snob? Absolutely! That beautiful Napoli pizza is a hearthrob. Christine Lavin, “Cold Pizza for Breakfast”. Finally, a sensible thread on TV! FREE MARINARA!
  5. I mostly agree but Soho does not pass the tests above. Very cheap, oily cheese. If you don't eat it hot that minute, it fails. No take-home.
  6. I sure would like to see more free vax. But Public Health is using the much more expensive antivirals.
  7. I really like it when Thai filmmakers produce thoughtful and incisive movies. Last year we had the wonderful How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies. And now, A Useful Ghost by Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke. Really looking forward to seeing this one in Bangkok!
  8. Those are the nastiest tapeworns I've ever seen--alien!
  9. I think Nakhon Phanom is one of the prettiest provinces in Thailand. Mountain & river views. Wat That Phanom has the largest garden of medicinal herbs.
  10. You call this a riot? You ain't seen nuthin' yet as Trump ups the stakes. Kristallnacht is coming in the US while you're safe / sad in Thailand. I realise those National Guardsmen and -women & Marines are brainwashed to follow orders but you'd think at least a few would refuse publicly to bend the knee for illegal orders. If you're in the US, help celebrate DJT's birthday bash in a demo in a city near you. You're a fool if you pay taxes for this BS.
  11. She has one, more important than any of us!
  12. And what happens then? We all know most girls spend it as fast as they make it. But...I know one girl in a bj bar who's bought three condos. That, my friends, is a lot of bjs!
  13. Probably already that way again! Time for some kickback to grease the wheels.
  14. There's another factor. Roadbeds in Jersey were built properly. Good bed of gravel. There's brown envelopes to be made repairing the roads over and over again. We've got a bridge project here on Udomsuk coming up eight years!
  15. No minerals is not so good, either. We're lazy--I mean really lazy--about changing our filters at home. Yikes! Sometimes two years. Hard water here in Bangna. Doesn't the Chao Phraya look thirst-quenching?
